Randstad Singapore’s Human Resources Team won “The Most Innovative HR Team” in 2022 by HRD Asia. The company is also the only talent recruitment agency to be on HRD Asia’s 2022 list in Singapore, alongside edotco and Singlife with Aviva.
Claire Smart, Human Resource Director of Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand said, “We are very honoured and delighted to be awarded this significant accolade from HRD Asia. This is a great testament to our people strategy, where we doubled the size of our Human Resources team in Singapore during the pandemic to help drive our company’s goal of touching the work lives of 500 million people by 2030. Our HR team consistently delivers to the business with their drive and commitment to the job, developing new policies and initiatives that make Randstad the most desirable employer to work in the recruitment industry.”
randstad singapore new work-life benefits in 2021 and 2022
Hybrid work arrangements is a permanent part of working life at Randstad Singapore as the company strives to build a more flexible and collaborative workforce. Recognising the positive effects on employees’ well-being and work productivity during remote work, the company included hybrid work into its policies to allow employees to work from home at least three days every week or start work anytime between 7am and 10am.
In 2020 and 2021, the company offered three additional days of paid COVID-19 vaccination leave days to encourage more employees to take the vaccine, as well as monitor their health safely at home. The company also organised a webinar with a healthcare professional from Fullerton Health to help our employees learn about the importance of vaccination and debunk myths about COVID-19 and mNRA vaccines.
When travel borders were lifted towards the end of 2021, Randstad Singapore launched the WorkAway programme as part of the company’s all-embracing hybrid work strategy. Under this new initiative, corporate employees are allowed to work from anywhere around the world for up to 4 weeks in a calendar year, enabling them to travel and spend quality time with their loved ones without sacrificing their careers.
Beyond the new work-life benefits mentioned above, Randstad Singapore also introduced work-from-home allowances, marriage leave and family care leave to their corporate employees.
Smart said, “Our employees have shared many experiences over the past two years and we’ve learned so much from them about the role that the company should play in supporting their professional and personal lives. This award will motivate us further to continue developing new initiatives that are aimed at offering our employees flexible, inclusive work-life practices as well as supporting their professional development.”

At Randstad, our employees’ well-being, work-life balance and professional development are our top priorities. We conduct digital and anonymous employee surveys every month to measure the effectiveness of existing programmes and benefits, as well as areas of improvement to ensure we continue to create a more positive working experience for our employees.
Our Randstad Digital Factory has also developed the MeMo (Meaningful Moments) platform. MeMo is a point-based peer recognition mobile application that encourages all our employees to show their appreciation to one another for going above and beyond. Employees stand to receive movie tickets, shopping vouchers and additional paid days off for demonstrating Randstad values such as being a supportive colleague and mentor, or for collaborating, going the extra mile and making work meaningful for others. These peer recognition programmes continuously boost the collective spirit of our employees as well as their motivation to be more supportive of one another.
