Randstad, the world’s largest talent company, today announced Danaher — a leading global life sciences and diagnostics innovator — the most attractive employer in Singapore, following a poll from 2,602 respondents.
The annual Randstad Employer Brand Awards is a ranking of employer attractiveness for Singapore’s 75 largest commercial companies and institutions that are known by at least 10% of the local population. Voted by 2,602 respondents based in Singapore, companies were rated on their relative employer brand awareness and attractiveness.
Commenting on this year’s results, David Blasco, Country Director at Randstad Singapore said, “Job seekers’ expectations in Singapore are rapidly evolving, with life sciences companies increasingly seen as attractive employers. A compelling employer brand emerges when employers listen to their employees and invest in improving flexible work, skill development, job security and equitable opportunities. We would like to take this opportunity to commend the employers and clients who have made significant strides in boosting job satisfaction and driving growth in our labour market.”

The release of these results comes as “work-life balance” remains firmly on top as the most important employer value proposition driver Singaporeans look for in their ideal employers for the second year in a row. In the survey, 41% of respondents who resigned from their jobs seek to improve their work-life balance, followed by 36% who want higher pay to cope with the rising cost of living in Singapore.
The survey also found that Singaporeans are increasingly looking for companies that offer equal opportunities regardless of age, gender and ethnicity.
With 40% of respondents identifying themselves as a minority, the search for equitable employers is becoming increasingly important for job seekers. Furthermore, those who identify as a minority at work are 20% more likely to feel they have faced obstacles in their career progression due to their identity, highlighting a potential need for stronger inclusion initiatives alongside efforts promoting equal opportunity.
