The Randstad Singapore's Bonus Expectations 2019 survey seeks to understand employees’ outlook of their annual bonuses and how it impacts their engagement with their organisations, as well as companies’ plans for bonus payouts to learn if expectations are aligned between employers and employees.

83% of Singapore-based employees are expecting a bonus in 2019. Out of which, 69% of the respondents said that they are anticipating an annual bonus averaging one to two months.

82% of companies have plans for a bonus payout in 2019 to recognise and reward their employees. Out of which, 17% are rewarding their staff for their performance and dedication in 2018 with a 3 to 5 months’ bonus.
However, 27% of the employees surveyed are expecting a bonus averaging 3 to 5 months - highlighting a 10-point difference.
