About the Team | Manager
This role is part of the Marketing team, reporting to the Business Development Director. The team is responsible for business development efforts, working closely with internal stakeholders, including account managers, editorial teams, and operations teams, to drive growth. The position will report under an experienced manager who is being groomed to lead the team, with gradual responsibility transition from senior leadership.
About the Job
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring and maintaining client accounts through consultative sales strategies. You will work closely with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients to deliver customized multichannel communication solutions while collaborating with internal teams to uncover new opportunities, develop proposals, and support revenue generation. Key duties include managing important accounts, preparing proposals and budget estimates, handling client inquiries and project submissions, securing agreements, staying informed on market trends, and forecasting potential business opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or account management.
- Background in medical communications, healthcare media, medical education, pharmaceutical marketing, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and engagement tactics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with pharmaceutical clients.
- Strong business acumen and a meticulous, organized approach to tasks.
- A degree in a scientific discipline (BSc, MSc, or PhD).
