• Assist the Finance Manager in managing financial records, reconciliations, and reporting for commodities trading activities
• Maintain accurate records of trading P&L related to metals/mining commodities
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and cash flow statements
• Reconcile trade transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable related to commodities trading
• Monitor and ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and relevant industry regulations
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including traders, risk management, and operations teams, to support financial reporting and controls
• Assist in audit processes, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with financial policies

skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification is a plus
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a metals/mining commodities trading environment
• Strong knowledge of trading finance, hedging, derivatives accounting, and risk management principles
• Experience with commodity trading systems (e.g., SAP, Allegro, Openlink, or other CTRM systems) is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, IFRS/GAAP standards, and tax compliance
