Our client, a leading life insurance company, is seeking to add an Actuarial Manager - RBC2 Valuation to their team. This new role is created to provide additional resources and support their growing actuarial function.
About the job
- You will focus on supporting the company's RBC2 valuation efforts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of valuation reports.
- Create a meaningful impact through your expertise in RBC2 reporting, as well as enhancing valuation methodologies and systems.
- Perform RBC2 valuation calculations, data analysis, and financial modelling to support monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and RBC2 standards.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of valuation methodologies and assumptions.
- Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and risk management teams to refine valuation processes and models.
- Support the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of valuation systems, tools, and reporting frameworks.
- Perform sensitivity analyses and stress testing to assess potential risks.

Skills and experience required
- Near/Fully qualified actuary
- At least 5 years of actuarial experience, with a focus on RBC2 valuation.
- In-depth knowledge of RBC2 standards.
- Proven experience in valuation methodologies in a life insurance context.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in actuarial software and Excel.
- Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
