I am representing a prominent entertainment company with a wide range of products that features some of the most famous characters that are known to every generation.
As part of their Regional expansion, they are looking for an Assistant Manager to expand their licensing business and this would strongly involve developing and maintaining relationships with licensees, negotiating licensing agreements, and ensuring that all licensed products align with organizational brand values and standards.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities would includes
- Develop and execute strategic licensing plans to grow the organization's brand across various product categories and markets.
- You would be tasked to Identify and evaluate potential licensees, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market strategies and negotiate and manage licensing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
- Serve as the primary point of contact for licensees, providing ongoing support and guidance to maximize their success.
- Oversee the development and approval process for licensed products, ensuring adherence to overall brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and legal, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and compliance.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the licensing industry.
- Monitor the performance of licensed products and provide regular reports on sales, market trends, and competitive activity.
- Analyze data to make informed decisions and adjust licensing strategies as needed.
- Ensure all licensing activities comply with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Work closely with the legal team to handle contract negotiations and resolve any licensing disputes.
Skills and experience required
- 4+ years of experience in licensing, brand management, or a related field, preferably within the entertainment or consumer products industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
