As the Brand Marketing & Partnership Manager, you will lead efforts in elevating a prominent sports brand and building valuable, long-lasting partnerships. In this role, you will spearhead the development of branded campaigns, foster cross-functional collaboration, and manage partnership activations to enhance brand visibility, attract new partners, and increase fan engagement.
Your role will involve working closely with internal teams (digital marketing, content, sales, and operations) to ensure the seamless execution of marketing initiatives, delivering measurable results while maintaining strong partner relationships and managing the marketing budget for growth initiatives.
. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute the overall brand marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, fan engagement goals, and promotional activities. Lead brand awareness campaigns across various channels (digital, TV, outdoor, events, etc.), maintaining consistent messaging and positioning. Create compelling brand narratives and marketing materials to increase the brand’s presence.
- Lead the creation and execution of innovative omni-channel marketing campaigns that drive fan engagement and maximize sponsor value. Manage assets (creative content, media buys, and event activations), ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Build and manage relationships with current and potential sponsors, acting as the primary point of contact. Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with the brand’s objectives. Lead branded marketing campaigns in collaboration with sponsors, ensuring high-impact activations that deliver value for both parties. Oversee the activation and fulfillment of sponsorship assets, ensuring partner expectations are met and exceeded.
- Lead cross-departmental teamwork across marketing, sales, digital, content, and operations to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and activations.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget for campaigns and activations. Monitor and track budget performance, ensuring projects are completed within financial parameters while providing regular reports.
- Conduct market research to evaluate brand perception, competitor activities, and audience preferences, adjusting strategies as needed. Use insights from sponsors, fans, and market trends to refine strategies and enhance future activations.
- Oversee marketing initiatives to promote key events and tournaments, boosting awareness and attendance. Lead event-based activations that create memorable experiences for fans and sponsors.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and activations. Provide data-driven recommendations for optimizing future brand and partnership efforts.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, partnership management, or sponsorship marketing, with a focus on strategic marketing initiatives.
- Proven success in developing and executing branded campaigns and sponsorship activations.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, campaign management, and multi-channel marketing.
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills and experience in managing key sponsorship partnerships.
- Proficient in managing marketing budgets, contracts, and deliverables.
- Excellent project management skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively across teams.
- Passion for football, with knowledge of the regional football community and market trends.
