A global Chinese Consumer Electronics MNC is seeking a visionary Global Marketing Director (CMO) to lead its global brand strategy and regional marketing teams. This is a newly created role, based in Singapore designed for a highly entrepreneurial leader who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments.
With a strong presence in cross-border e-commerce, the company specializes in photography equipment and accessories such as filters, tripods, camera bags, adapters, lighting gear, and batteries. Its sales channels include Amazon, B2B partnerships, independent websites, domestic e-commerce platforms (e.g., JD/Tmall), and international niche platforms. The company operates across key markets, including North America, Western Europe, Japan/Korea, Southeast Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, China, and Mexico.
Starting in 2025, the company is shifting to a country/region-focused sales model, integrating all sales channels within each market. This strategic transformation requires a bold marketing leader to drive global brand expansion and localized execution.
About the role
As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will be responsible for building and scaling the global brand from the ground up while ensuring alignment across diverse markets and sales channels. The ideal candidate must possess:

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a global brand strategy that aligns with the company’s shift toward regional sales integration.
- Identify market trends, prioritize key regions, and create data-driven brand roadmaps to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Brand Visibility & Engagement
- Optimize brand positioning across digital channels, ensuring strong visibility across social media, content marketing, and influencer collaborations.
- Strengthen brand equity through cross-platform marketing efforts (Amazon, JD/Tmall, Shopee, independent DTC sites).
E-commerce & Channel Optimization
- Design platform-specific marketing strategies to drive traffic, conversion, and customer retention across key online marketplaces.
- Leverage data analytics and AI-driven insights to optimize sales performance and brand impact.
Global-Local Balance
- Craft tailored marketing campaigns that resonate with local audiences while maintaining a unified global brand identity.
- Manage global content strategy across key platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Xiaohongshu.
Leadership & Team Development
- Establish, scale, and lead a high-performing marketing team, bringing deep expertise in digital marketing, Public Relations, user operations, and global campaigns.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and data-driven decision-making within the marketing organization.
Skills Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, International Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in cross-border e-commerce, with a proven track record of leading high-growth marketing teams or projects exceeding USD$15,000,000 Revenue / yearly
- Expertise in Direct to Consumer brand launches (0 to 1 stage) and multi-channel integration (Amazon Brand Stores, B2B, third-party platforms).
- Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Amazon Ads, Google Analytics, and ERP systems.
- Fluency in English, Mandarin (essential) or other languages ) Optional due to its global nature and business requirements to engage with stakeholders from multiple countries.

Preferred Experience
- Industry experience in Consumer electronics, consumer goods / technology, retailer / software technology background.
- Expertise in emerging markets (e.g., Mercado Libre, Lazada) or agency/consulting backgrounds in digital marketing.
