Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the organization's comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to align with its mission and objectives.
- Ensure cohesive messaging and consistent branding across all platforms and stakeholder touchpoints.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 8-9 marketing and communications professionals, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Assign responsibilities and provide guidance to ensure the team delivers high-impact campaigns and activities.
Integrated Communications:
- Oversee the creation of compelling content for digital, print, and social media channels, ensuring engagement with diverse audiences.
- Manage media relations and public relations efforts, including drafting press releases, managing crisis communications, and cultivating media partnerships.
Events and Roadshows:
- Plan and execute events, roadshows, and public engagement activities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and maximizing outreach impact.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless and impactful event experiences.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, government agencies, community organizations, and the public.
- Act as a spokesperson when needed, representing the organization in public forums and media interviews.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communications campaigns.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Deputy CEO to refine strategies and enhance performance.
skills and experience required
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, including leading a team.
- Proven success in strategic marketing communications, public relations, and large-scale event management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Hands-on experience in digital marketing, campaign management, and content creation.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing effectively under tight timelines.
- Familiarity with working in or with public service and non-profit sectors is highly advantageous.
