about the role

Reporting in to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring day-to-day smooth running of the Operations team which includes Trade Finance, Loan Admin and Treasury Operations
• Working closely with other Business Units and providing recommendations to improve operational procedures
• Supporting the team in any discussion with auditors or regulators on complex operations topics, including but not limited to changes on transaction processes or workflows
• Keeping abreast of best practices and provide input into local as well as regional operational processes
• Looking into Exception handling and incident reporting
• Developing and monitoring departmental initiatives to drive process and system improvement
• Reporting to management regularly on opportunities/risks and recommend appropriate actions
• Identifying and developing talent
• Coaching and guiding team on complex issues

skills and experience required

• Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
• At least 10 years of Operations experience within Corporate/Wholesale Banking, with prior team management experience
• Demonstrated experience in Loans Operations, Treasury and/or Trade Finance within the Banking industry
• Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
• Experienced in process improvement and change management
