Reporting directly to the CEO based in Singapore, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, including treasury, corporate governance, and risk management. As the company undergoes rapid expansion, you will play a critical role in ensuring robust financial processes and controls are in place. A key focus of this role is fostering strong partnerships with department heads to drive financial performance and strategic alignment. Your responsibilities will include leading financial planning and analysis, managing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, as well as overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes. Additionally, the company is preparing for a system transformation to SAP this year, and you will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with strong interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment. They should thrive under pressure, demonstrating the agility to navigate operational complexities and drive financial excellence.
Skills and experience required
Candidates should possess a recognized accounting degree, along with a CA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification, and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. A proven track record in managing teams and leading system implementation or transformation projects is essential. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage, as this role involves working with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. Experience in consumer-related industries such as FMCG, medical devices, healthcare, or distribution would be highly preferred.
