In this position as an Head of Department, you will be expected to work closely with the CEO and to achieve the GWP goals and underwriting profit set by the Company. The ideal incumbent will be expected to identify, establish and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders to promote the sale of insurance products and strengthen business relationships with clients.
As a HOD, you will be responsible for the overall improvement of business delivery within the underwriting framework in accordance with the reinsurance management framework and treaty guidelines.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should come with strong knowledge and understanding on Commercial lines products across all lines of business and experience leading/managing a team.
skills & experience required
... - 5+ years of relevant experience in general/commercial insurance sales and underwriting
- Strong leadership and people management skills - ideally experience managing a team
- Sound understanding of the insurance industry, including regulations and market dynamics
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities, with proven track record to meet or exceed targets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with bank partners and customers
- Ability to conduct effective training sessions on insurance products to internal & external stakeholders
