We are partnering with a respected financial institution to recruit a Head of Risk & Compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a key decision-maker, providing strategic oversight across firm-wide risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance activities.
As part of the leadership team, you will play a critical role in protecting the firm's reputation, ensuring regulatory excellence, and driving a strong culture of risk management and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic oversight of the firm’s risk management framework, actively contributing to key decision-making processes.
Maintain independent oversight of compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, codes of conduct, industry standards, and internal policies.
Safeguard the organization’s reputation by overseeing the management of risks related to bribery, corruption, money laundering, and terrorism.
Oversee and manage outsourced Risk and Compliance activities, including execution of the Annual Compliance Plan.
Serve as the firm's appointed Data Protection Officer, ensuring full adherence to data privacy regulations and best practices.
Track, monitor, and ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, and group requirements.
Act as the key liaison for all regulatory matters, engaging proactively with regulators, handling regulatory requests, and managing regulatory visits and inspections.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to the regulator, Board, Board Committees, local governance committees, and Group Compliance.
Who We Are Looking For:
Proven experience within a regulated financial institution, with strong regulatory knowledge and risk management expertise.
Prior leadership experience in managing teams and developing a strong compliance culture.
Comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry, including competitor landscape and evolving regulatory environment.
Strategic thinker with a deep conceptual and practical grounding in risk, compliance, and governance functions.
Strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
