My client is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide dedicated support to end users within the organization.
about the job
- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring system availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Regularly monitor system health, perform performance testing, and manage backups and restores as required.
- Conduct annual hardware refresh for endpoint devices (Windows, Android, iOS) and network equipment.
- Provide onboarding/offboarding for employees, troubleshoot issues onsite and offsite (including vessel support), and document system configurations, processes, and user guides.
- Serve as the IT procurement officer, managing vendor relationships, purchasing, and overseeing billing and subscriptions for SaaS and Microsoft 365.
- Maintain IT hardware/software inventory and perform daily, monthly, and annual IT operation checklists.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance user experience and travel internationally if necessary to support vessels when vendor resolution fails.
skills and experience required
2+ years of experience providing L1 support in mid to large enterprises with a user base of over 100 employees.
Hands-on experience as a Global Admin for Microsoft 365 or expertise in key modules such as user administration, Intune management, and security configuration.
Managing and troubleshooting endpoint devices, including Windows OS, Android, and iOS.
