In line with their growth plans, they now have a newly created role for a Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore with a focus on M&A transactions. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will focus on supporting mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other potential partnerships from due diligence to integration activities. As a business partner to the commercial, technical and corporate stakeholders, you will also be responsible for the drafting and reviewing of a wide range of commercial contracts that arise from the course of the business and provide legal advice for any matters that arise from the operations including but not limited to employment, data privacy, intellectual property and disputes and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
You are a qualified lawyer, at least 6 PQE with in-depth experience in cross-border M&A transactions. Prior experience gained within the technology or telecommunications industry will be viewed favourably. You are commercial-minded, solutions-focused and enjoy marrying commercial and legal requirements to provide practical and pragmatic advice to the business. While proactive, effective and independent, you are also a team player with a track record of partnering with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
