about the role
The Merchandise Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s wholesale and direct merchandising channels by ensuring efficient management of business processes, data integrity, and operational standards.
- Lead showroom setup, ensuring alignment with seasonal timelines and coordinating with global teams.
- Develop systems for organizing and tracking samples, ensuring easy access and proper maintenance.
- Manage vendor relationships, including venue providers and event planners, for seamless showroom execution.
- Collaborate with merchandising, visual merchandising, and sales teams to prepare for wholesale market weeks and product launches.
- Oversee showroom operations during market weeks, ensuring brand standards in scheduling and presentation.
- Maintain and update product information on company’s portals, working with IT and analytics teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure accuracy of customer and product data across company’s data systems.
- Assist wholesale accounts with POS portal maintenance, addressing any issues in collaboration with account management.
- Manage seasonal Master SKU Lists, ensuring data consistency for all stakeholders.
- Oversee ordering and coordination of Not-For-Sale (NFS) items like packaging, uniforms, and visual merchandising materials.
- Ensure timely delivery and payment of NFS items in collaboration with suppliers, account services, and logistics.
requirements and qualifications
- Minimally 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in fashion will be a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on time management and detail orientation.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Experience with wholesale systems and EDI preferred.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is advantageous.
