about the company Our client, an esteemed semiconductor manufacturing company, is on the lookout for a manufacturing interpreter based in Singapore about the job
- Assist with translating written materials, including documents, emails, reports, and presentations from Japanese to English and vice versa
- Provide accurate and professional interpretation between Japanese and English speakers in real-time during meetings, conferences, presentations, and business discussions
- Ensure that all participants have a clear understanding of discussions and decisions made during meetings
- Provide timely translations for internal and external communication, ensuring all parties have access to necessary documents in both languages
skills and experience required
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent
- Min 5 years working experience in a manufacturing / interpreter environment
- Able to speak and write in Japanese so as to liaise with Japan's client who cannot speak english
- Test of Proficiency in Japanese - JLPT 1 certified is needed for the role
- Willing to work around west area (for now 5 day office work mode) - Tuas / Boon Lay / Pioneer
- Able to commence immediate or with short notice period
