- 2D drafting and other documentation
- Technical assignments involving basic or applied research or the design and development of hardware products that includes CIP, upgrades, End Of Life (EOL)
- Design and evaluation of mechanical and/or electromechanical devices, components or systems
- Develop, test and document designs for the transport mechanisms, vacuum systems and various process stations, including deposition chambers, substrate heating, cooling, cleaning, etc.
- Participate in the overall detailed product design
- Participate in design review by providing mechanical design inputs relating to DFM and DFA, etc.
- Prepare and release 3D Solid Models and Engineering drawing while communicating to local vendors to expedite delivery of design parts and assemblies.
skills & experience required
- Degree / Diploma / Higher NITEC in Mechatronics / Electromechanical / Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient user of Solidworks. (3D and 2D design)
- Knowledge of Orcad or other similar software will be an advantage
- Machine design experience will be a plus
- Familiarity in Design Process (Feasibility Study, Conceptual Design, Design Review, Verification, Validation, etc.) up to production realization
- Knowledge of ECO release of Engineering quality documentation
- Experience in dynamic electromechanical system design
- Experience in high vacuum design and heat transfer will be an advantage.
