The Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for leading and executing the Medical Affairs Strategy for South Korea. The role will provide the medical leadership and clinical expertise in planning, development, and commercialization of products in the Oncology, Reproductive Health, and Genetic Diseases segments. This role will be primarily focused on developing and executing strategies for evidence generation, medical education, and building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Health Care Professionals (HCPs), Health Care Organizations (HCOs), Professional Societies,
Pharmaceutical companies and customers within South Korea to enable the adoption of company products into the clinical market. The role will foster robust and transparent scientific dialogue and educate and connect with groups who could benefit from our technology.
about the manager/team
This position is part of company's Global Medical Affairs organization and reports to a Regional Head of Medical Affairs in APAC. The role will work across cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Markets Access, Government Affairs, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs, etc.) to ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives. The individual will work as a member of a dynamic and collaborative team.
skills and experience required
Lead scientific engagement with KOLs and Medical Experts, implement educational strategies, and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries.
● Ensure appropriate identification/mapping of KOLs; develop and implement KOL engagement plans aligned with the country's medical strategy.
● Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to identify gaps in evidence/data and support research collaborations and partnerships.
● Lead Medical/Scientific advisory board planning in South Korea.
Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, etc.) and at least 3-5 years of direct clinical or relevant industry experience.
● Understanding of clinical diagnostics, clinical genomics, personalized medicine, and its application to different disease areas is preferred.
● Preferred to have an established network of KOL physicians and institutions in South Korea.
