key responsibilities:
- Develop strategic sales, margin, and inventory plans to support business growth across various sales channels.
- Establish financial targets for both pre-season and in-season planning, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
- Manage seasonal open-to-buy forecasts, monitoring performance against projections and making necessary adjustments.
- Sales & Inventory Management
- Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to identify potential risks and growth opportunities.
- Continuously refine merchandise financial plans based on market conditions, retailer strategies, and sales performance.
- Align inventory and assortment strategies with financial goals to ensure efficient stock management.
- Work closely with planning, finance, analytics, operations, and marketing teams to synchronize business strategies.
- Develop insights-driven recommendations to balance inventory across sales channels and maximize profitability.
- Implement strategies to optimize demand forecasting, ensuring healthy stock levels and improved margin performance.
qualifications and experience:
- At least 5 years relevant experience in merchandising buying / merchandising / demand planning for RETAIL / FASHION brands.
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Business, or relevant.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc
- Proficiency in forecasting models and data analysis tools.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to drive alignment across teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
