about the role
- Ensure day-to-day smooth running of the Operations team which includes Trade Finance, Loan Admin, Treasury Operations, Payments and Remittance
- Manage Trade Finance products and services efficiently
- Manage outsourced activities to ensure operational resilience and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement the unit’s plan to enhance workflow, processes and systems
- Work closely with other Business Units; provide recommendations to improve operational procedures and to develop transaction processing solutions
- Support the team in any discussion with auditors or regulators on complex operations topics, including but not limited to changes on transaction processes or workflows
- Keep abreast of best practices and provide input into local as well as regional operational processes
- Look into Exception handling and incident reporting
- Develop and monitor departmental initiatives to drive process and system improvement
- Report to management regularly on opportunities/risks and recommend appropriate actions
- Coach and guide team on complex issues
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 10 years of Operations experience within Corporate/Wholesale Banking, with demonstrated experience in Trade Finance and Loans
- At least 5 years of Team Management experience
- Good understanding of Corporate Banking products and services
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
