Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join their central kitchen manufacturing plant. This pivotal role involves overseeing highly automated packaging operations, ensuring the serviceability of all production equipment, and continuously improving automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering foundation and experience managing a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize systems and equipment to enhance mass production capabilities for a wide range of ready meals.
- Continuously improve the current automated production system through mechanical, electronic, automation, and digital control enhancements.
- Set up and run the production system daily to meet time-sensitive order demands.
- Maintain the highest hygiene standards throughout the plant.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
- Collaborate closely with other teams within the central kitchen to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
- Prepare documentation, conduct training, and submit reports as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a large-scale food production environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to lead a team and manage production processes independently under tight schedules.
- Strong skills in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automation systems.
