about the job
- Create and maintain portfolio, security, counterparty, pricing and benchmark data
- Create and maintain instruments for various Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives products in the Reference Data system
- Update / modify assets based on internal stakeholders’ initiated changes (Middle Office, Trade support, Settlements) or Corporate actions
- Work closely with Sales & Trading Desks as well as Settlements team to ensure client accounts and Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) are set up and maintained accurately across systems
- Static data maintenance of securities that require coupon, rate fixing on a daily basis from sources like Bloomberg, Reuters
- Perform research through Bloomberg and Reuters to find missing or additional information required to complete set up or maintenance.
- Conduct daily cleansing, analysis and maintenance of data in the Asset Control system
- Lead work streams by acting as a project lead/ subject matter expert for small-scale initiatives which may include process improvement, metrics reporting, transformation etc
skills and experience required
- Minimum Diploma
- At least 4 years of experience in Data Management, Reference Data or equivalent
- Prior experience in static creation, maintenance of investment instruments and investment portfolios
- Knowledge in Bloomberg and Reuters system an added advantage
- Advanced Excel skills
- Good understanding of financial terminology as well as data lifecycle management
- Understanding of Financial Market products
- Possess good communications and stakeholder management skills
- Requires to work shift and Public Holidays on a rotational basis due to the regional coverage
