About the job
- Overseeing and managing the end-to-end credit control processes, including collections, premium adjustments, and dispute resolution for the region.
- Lead and manage a team of credit control professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivables, Brokers, Underwriters, Client Services, and Operations teams to ensure smooth credit control operations and timely resolution of disputes.
- Monitor and report on key credit control metrics, ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures.
- Implement improvements to existing credit control processes and develop best practices for efficient operations.
- Work closely with senior management and department heads to strengthen internal controls and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on credit control performance, issues, and progress.
Skills and experience required
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable management role, ideally within the insurance industry or a related field.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience managing teams.
- In-depth understanding of credit control processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and regions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex credit disputes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with senior management and department heads to drive process improvements.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
