Collaboration is a key element, as the role partners closely with the Marketing Manager to gather and analyze market intelligence, enabling the creation of robust marketing plans for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) products. Working with commercial teams to capture the voice of the customer helps identify and leverage opportunities to increase value through product differentiation. A consultative approach is applied in project management, where this role provides technical expertise and proposals for customized services, aiding in pre-sale evaluations and setting the stage for customer-centric solutions.
As a leader in product development, this position manages the entire lifecycle—from initial research and requirement gathering to launch and market positioning. Training and support are also provided to internal teams such as sales and customer support, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and alignment with product goals. Serving as an NGS subject matter expert, the role represents the company at industry events, keeping abreast of advancements in genomics to maintain product relevance and thought leadership in the rapidly evolving field of genomics technology.

Reporting to the Product Director, this will be part of a new team formed to strategically analyse and support product specific growth targets within the AMEA regions.
about the responsibilities
This role requires a minimum of two years of product management experience specifically within the life sciences sector, with an emphasis on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) products. An advanced degree, preferably a master’s in Life Sciences or Biotechnology, is essential, while a PhD is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should possess a strong grasp of genomics and molecular technologies, with prior experience in NGS being particularly valuable. Candidates with prior experience in mass spectrometry will also be considered.
Technical expertise is required in managing projects related to NGS workflows, including data analysis processes, and candidates should demonstrate innovative, strategic thinking abilities. A comprehensive understanding of NGS technology and the broader life sciences market is essential to succeed and make informed product management decisions in this role.
