We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced investigator to join our team, focusing on both online and offline investigations across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience collaborating with national and local law enforcement agencies, particularly in Southeast Asia, and will excel in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders at both local and national levels. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis using a range of sources including internal databases, public records, the internet, and external stakeholders to develop actionable investigative leads.
- Lead and manage complex IPR enforcement investigations in partnership with internal operations teams, external stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies.
- Develop and implement investigative strategies to uncover evidence, ensure compliance, and meet case objectives.
- Maintain precise and thorough documentation of cases, including reports, evidence logs, and witness statements.
- Ensure all investigative activities align with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Provide expert mentorship and guidance to junior investigators and other team members.
- Prepare and present investigative findings to senior leadership, legal teams, or external stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work at both a macro and micro level—evaluating high-level policies and practices while also taking the lead on specific investigations.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in law enforcement, with significant involvement in IPR-related matters.
- Deep experience working with law enforcement agencies throughout Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia, East Asia, and China.
- Extensive knowledge of investigative techniques, law enforcement protocols, and regulatory frameworks in the APAC region.
- Proven ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with report writing and delivering presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with multinational organizations.
- Familiarity with legal procedures related to IP enforcement, including court testimony and evidential requirements.
Additional Requirements:
- Discretion in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel as required for case-related activities.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, based on case demands.
