Our client is a US-based financial institution, with a track record of success and respected globally in the space that they operate in. Due to growth in the business, they have a newly created role for a Legal Counsel to support the Asia Pacific commercial contracts portfolio to be based in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast paced, high growth and driven environment.
Responsibilities
Reporting to a Senior Attorney (Commercial Contracts) based in the US and partnering with a team of lawyers in the Asia Pacific region, you will support the business operations and growth while minimising risk to the organisation through the drafting and reviewing of a wide range of commercial contracts and advise on corporate matters including but not limited to technology, services, leases, customer and vendor agreements, employment and tax. The role will also entail contributing to continual process improvements and will also have the opportunity to be involved in regional and global projects.

You are a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE with a focus on advising on commercial contracts and corporate matters gained within the financial services industry. You are driven, able to work independently and commercial-minded with a track record of partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to provide practical legal advice. You are hands on, meticulous with strong organisation and prioritisation skills to be able to manage a high volume of diverse matters.
