We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to support R&D and production initiatives in semiconductor equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assembling, troubleshooting, and integrating mechanical and electrical components for advanced semiconductor systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support hardware R&D from component build through system integration.
- Develop and fabricate mechanical and electrical components as needed.
- Build and integrate mechanical assemblies and electronic assemblies for semiconductor equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to create test fixtures, collect data, and generate reports.
- Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, design modification, and system validation.
- Maintain, organize, and stock tools, measurement equipment, and hardware in the lab.
- Fabricate prototype and first article hardware to support product development.
- Work with high precision mechanical systems, deposition systems, flow and pressure controllers, motion controllers, and more.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as an Assembly Technician in semiconductor equipment development or R&D.
- Ability to conceptualize and build engineering test setups and hardware from verbal instructions or sketches.
- Hands-on experience with high precision mechanical systems, deposition systems, motion controllers, and other related technologies.
- Proficiency with lab tools, rapid prototyping equipment, and mechanical setup tools.
- Experience with basic diagnostic tools like programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering concepts, with experience reading schematics and diagrams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with CAD solid models and drawings (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred).
- Experience with vacuum and test equipment, including pumps, MFCs, leak detectors, RGAs, and heaters.
