In this position as an Technical Accountant and Claims Specialist, you will be expected to support the reinsurance business units and provide pre-bind/post-bind underwriting support across all business classes. You will be required to work with offices across the region and ensure alignment on working practice and complying with the company's policies. You will manage logging of data including policy; premium; endorsement; submission, quote & renewal data onto the relevant System of Record and maintain any other defined databases for the Underwriters as required.
In order to be successful in this position, the incumbent needs to administer all reinsurance documentation and templates; maintain existing and develop new when required; ensure that document management is completed to the correct standard. You will create reports and provide statistical information for the HOD, including reporting key information monthly from systems of record and other data sources.
The successful incumbent will also be tasked to manage and apply the credit control function and related bank accounts in collaboration with other functional areas including Finance, Operations, Claims, and others as required.
