About the Job
As a Technical Sales Manager, you will drive business growth in the Polymers & Coatings sector, with a specific focus on fire retardant applications. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise to customers. This includes overseeing commercial activities such as sales planning, forecasting, and contract negotiations, as well as providing technical guidance on fire retardant additives. You will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, and application development teams to introduce new product solutions, identify market opportunities, and support customer projects. Additionally, you will conduct market research, monitor competitor activities, and represent the company at trade shows and industry events across the SEA region.
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5-8 years of experience in the polymers, coatings, or specialty chemicals industry.
- 3+ years in technical sales, business development, or account management.
- Expertise in fire retardant additives and their applications within polymers and coatings.
- Strong understanding of the Southeast Asia market (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams.
- Willingness to travel within the SEA region.
